An order of Anglican brothers, The Society of Saint John the Evangelist, ministered to the region from 1928-1983 from this monastery. The property was divided into three private residences in 1988, and this centre section, distinguished by a working bell tower, has been tastefully renovated into a 4,000 square-foot light and airy home, The Monastery Bed & Breakfast. Our 1.4 acre riverfront property is in a quiet residential neighbourhood and is central to an assortment of local dining, shops and attractions.
Our bed and breakfast offers three luxurious suites to choose from, each with central air and private or ensuite washrooms. Guests will enjoy a spacious and comfortable guest sitting room with historical notes and pictures, as well as creative and elegant full breakfasts served each morning. Enjoy your meal in either the formal dining room or at the family room oak table looking out at the river ravine. Daily hot breakfast house specialties are complemented by seasonal fruits, home-baked items and specialty teas and coffees.
