Born in Hull, Yorkshire, England, Pat Fairhead came to Canada at the age of ten and fell in love with the Canadian landscape. On February 23, 2017, Pat turned 90 and is celebrating this milestone with a one woman retrospective exhibition as told through her art, old photographs as well as newspaper and magazine articles. Pat has been to the high Arctic nine times, paddled the west coast of British Columbia, camped in the Amazon rainforest, hiked the back country of Australia, travelled to Namibia, Botswana, South Africa, Egypt, Europe, New Zealand, Scotland, England and on and on. Painting since she was a child, Pat has painted professionally for the past 35 years. Known as an innovator and a colourist who is always pushing the edge to see what she can do. The Chapel Gallery, is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm. It is located at 15 King Street in Bracebridge.
