Looking for a unique gift to give Dad this Father’s Day? Consider a special getaway to Ontario’s cottage country where he’ll enjoy great leisurely fun and cool events.
Annual Car Shows Rev Things Up
If Dad is an auto fan, consider sending him to two popular car showcases. On Saturday, June 20th, it’s the 22nd Annual Gravenhurst Car Show, featuring more than 500 antique and classic, race/drag and modified cars, trucks and motorcycles. There will be live entertainment all day, prizes and giveaways, a big wheel race for kids, a vehicle poker run around the town and barbecue lunch and dinner. (If your Dad has his own lovingly-restored or souped-up beauty that he’d like to show off to admiring crowds, he can do it at this show for free. More info about the show on its Facebook page.)
On Sunday, June 21st, Dad can motor on up to Bracebridge, Muskoka for the downtown’s annual Father’s Day Car Show. On from 9am to 3pm, this show features 150 vehicles of special interest to auto aficionados, as well as live music and great food, all located on the cordoned-off main street.
