Celebrate the official start of summer in Muskoka at Huntsville’s Live It! Getaway
Are you a DIY home renovation fan? Love gardening? Have a passion for food and wine? Then plan to attend the “Live It! A Culinary, Home & Garden Getaway,” a unique new event taking place on June 21, 2014 in Huntsville, Ontario, that will have something for everyone, including a dinner party for five-hundred people on downtown’s Main Street.
Experience Huntsville’s longest dinner party ever…winding down Main Street!
Presented by Muskoka Life magazine,“The Long and Winding Dinner” will feature a delectable and formal dining experience with exquisite food prepared by local chefs and hosted by Chef Bob Blumer, host and creator of Surreal Gourmet and Glutton for Punishment.
This spectacular evening will take place on Huntsville’s Main Street under a white canopy at one long table winding from the Swing Bridge to King Street. Preparation and service of the dinner is led by 3 Guys And A Stove and Deerhurst Resort and features items from local businesses including Belly Ice Cream, Farmer’s Daughter, Four Season Greens, Muskoka Roastery, Schat Bakery, Springhill Fresh Water, That Little Place by the Lights, and Whimsical Bakery. The menu includes a special “surreal” recipe presented by Chef Bob Blumer. The dinner is licensed and guests can enjoy beverages from Château des Charmes Winery and Muskoka Brewery.
Swing on the Swing
Following dinner, guests will be treated to another first in Huntsville – dancing to a live swing band on the town’s historic Swing Bridge. Led by the multi-talented Neil Barlow, the Muskoka Big Band will entertain guests from 8:30pm until 11:30pm. “Swing on the Swing” is presented by Hunter’s Bay Radio and the band will perform on the Pipefusion/NyDock stage.

(Each stage area will have seating for 125 people and will be licensed so you can enjoy a beverage while you watch.)
In River Mill Park, the Sandhill Nursery Garden Stage will feature presentations by Variegated Devas’, The Dwight Garden Centre, Four Season Greens, The Muskoka North Good Food Co-op, Sandhill Nursery, and headliner, the CBC Radio’s gardening expert Ed Lawrence.
