Starting Wage: $18.00 Per hour + Opportunity for monthly incentive

Position Summary

Reservations agents are responsible for assisting customers with planning and booking room reservations for all Freed Development Properties, including Deerhurst Resort (Huntsville) , Muskoka Bay Resort (Gravenhurst) and   Horseshoe Valley Resort (Barrie). This opportunity is available as a remote position, onsite or blended at Deerhurst Resort.

Home Workspace Requirements  

  • An acceptable workspace (Private office space with a door, quiet, with an ergonomic workstation and chair)
  • Access to high speed internet or Fiber Optic in your home (we can check if the speeds you have access to will be sufficient once you submit your application).   Rental Units must have permission of the landlord to run additional lines if necessary.
  • Commitment to 2 weeks/ 10 shifts in-House training (Huntsville, ON)

Qualifications and Skills

  • Able to work well independently with little to no direct supervision
  • Strong computer skills, and able to multitask using multiple programs
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with guests, co-workers and to other Hotel departments
  • Goal oriented with strong problem solving ability
  • Genuine empathetic and caring personality
  • Is able to commit to a high level of focus and concentration throughout shifts (8 hours)
  • Can learn from mistakes and apply knowledge to new situations

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to all guest correspondences including but not limited to, in bound calls, voicemails, emails, and third party communications, in a timely manner
  • Can accurately quote rates and input guest information into property management system (Opera, Opera Cloud, Maestro)
  • Process all reservation requests
  • Enthusiastically sells the resort to prospective guests by providing clear information on different styles of accommodations and varying resort amenities
  • Process credit cards in accordance with deposit/cancellation policies
  • Process dining, activity, and golf reservations through a variety of different applications
  • Provides most up to date information about packages, promotions and events
  • Reviews/corrects online reservations
  • Tries to meet all guests needs and provides alternate solutions/options when possible.

Hotel Property Management Knowledge an asset

Call center customer service experience an asset

Hotel front front desk or reservations Experience an asset
