Wild Adventures Canada offers trips designed for those seeking adventure, while maintaining a relaxed pace for any level of paddler. The clean fresh water lakes, a chance to see wildlife and delicious meals cooked over a fire are quintessential for those searching for the true Canadian experience. Our Adventures give the option for a 3, 4 or 5-day canoe trip. Our guests will learn or refresh their paddling skills throughout the trip from our professional guides. Our guides are there to lead the way and take our guests to secluded areas of the wilderness. Here, there will be opportunity to swim, hike, fish, enjoy tasty meals and take in the scenic views of open lakes and tree lines.
Our guides will contact our guests via email prior to the start of your trip. This is the perfect opportunity to let the guide know of any questions or concerns you may have. No canoe or camping experience is necessary. Guests will be paddling, portaging and camping each day, so any athletic experience will be an asset. Bring your clothing, rain jacket/pants, water bottle and we will take care of the rest!
Intro To Winter Camping Adventure (package available December through March)
Our Overnight Adventure is the best way to be introduced to Winter Camping in Ontario. We travel by snowshoe, hauling everything behind us on toboggans. Absolutely nothing is carried on our backs. In the evenings, everyone will retreat to our large canvas ‘hot tent’. Inside, we cook all our meals, and dry our clothes by the heat of a wood burning stove. Even at -20 degrees outside we can relax in our Pajama’s by the heat of the stove inside the tent.
Over the course of this 2-day trip we will travel over lakes, creeks, portages trails, beaver ponds and see Algonquin in a way that not many people get to experience! This is a trip for beginners, the distances are short, with the importance of educating and having as much fun as possible. A great way to learn about winter camping with a canvas tent and a wood stove and seeing that it is possible to camp comfortably all year-round. No snowshoeing or winter camping experience is necessary. Guests will be snowshoeing and camping each day, so any athletic experience will be an asset. Bring your clothing, winter coat/pants, water bottle and we will take care of the rest! For complete package details, including availability and pricing, click here.
