The month of March brings cold nights and warm sunny days – perfect conditions for the production of nature’s finest nectar, Canadian maple syrup! Sampling syrup is one thing, but learning more about how it’s produced makes for a great outdoor experience that the entire family will enjoy.
Savour Muskoka will also host a Maple Syrup Production Workshop at Brooklands Farm in Milford Bay on March 24th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Get a guided tour of the process of tapping trees to make delicious food – and enjoy a sample as well.
Killbear Provincial Park is also getting in on the action with its 7th annual Maple Syrup Festival on Saturday, April 6th from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Visit this sugar bush operation in one of Ontario’s most stunning parks, enjoy exploring the trails, and get in on the pancake action.
