Brewer @ Lake of Bays Brewing Company

As a key member of our team, you’ll be heavily involved in all aspects of beer production, from recipe development through to packaging! The successful candidate will be based at our Baysville location.

What YOU will be doing:

• Operate brewing equipment, including kettles, fermenters, and filtration systems.
• Monitor fermentation processes and adjust parameters as necessary to achieve desired flavor profiles.
• Conduct quality control tests on raw materials and finished products.
• Maintain accurate records of production processes, including ingredient usage and batch numbers.
• Collaborate with the brewing team to develop new recipes and improve existing ones.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout the brewing process.
• Clean and sanitize all brewing equipment and work areas regularly.
• Assist in inventory management of raw materials and finished products.

What YOU bring to the table:

• Diploma or courses in Brewing Operations with previous experience in commercial brewing, preferred
• Proven ability to follow recipe instructions/guidelines
• Enthusiasm and a passion for craft beer (a big win for us!)
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to trouble shoot and work through issues
• A team player with a “can do” attitude
• Attention to detail with the ability to keep organized and maintain accurate records
• Strong focus on safety with an understanding of safe chemical handling and proper personal protective equipment usage
• Proven ability to multitask and manage time effectively

Working Conditions:

• Four 10-hour shifts scheduled Monday-Friday is the norm for this role, but there may be times when overtime or work outside normal hours may be required
• Periods of sitting, standing, and walking
• Lifting (up to 60lbs), twisting, crouching, and climbing are all regular movements required of this role
• Staff housing in Bracebridge may be available.
