Recreation Assistant

Nestled in the serene beauty of Muskoka, our resort offers a range of recreational activities and amenities for all ages. We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our dynamic Recreation Team and contribute to making every guest’s stay memorable.

Key Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with the Manager of Recreation to plan and execute engaging recreational programs for guests of all ages.

· Supervise and actively participate in resort programming activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for guests and staff.

· Assist in setting up and maintaining the cleanliness of recreational work areas, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are readily available.

· Supervise children during activities, games, crafts, and events, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.

· Prepare daily activity schedules and special events, keeping guests informed and excited about upcoming activities.

· Ensure all equipment meets safety standards, promptly addressing any safety hazards or concerns.

· Build rapport with guests through compassion, empathy, and exceptional customer service, representing the resort as a welcoming and friendly destination.

Qualifications:

· Previous experience or education in working with children preferred.

· Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with guests, team members, and children.

· Ability to motivate others and encourage participation in recreational activities.

· Demonstrated professionalism, responsibility, and ethical conduct.

· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues and management.

· Passion for outdoor activities and creating memorable experiences for guests.

· Lifeguard or water certifications are an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months

Expected hours: 30 – 44 per week
