We want to tell you about some important strategic initiatives from Explorers’ Edge that
are designed to help you generate better business results. Explorers’ Edge is the Regional Tourism Organization for Algonquin Park, the Almaguin Highlands, Muskoka and Parry Sound that is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport. Overseen by a volunteer board of directors composed of operators like you, our mission is to develop a sustainable, thriving year-round tourism industry throughout the region for the benefit of operators and the communities in which they operate.

We are currently in the process of identifying and contacting all operators in the region to invite you to become part of the Explorers’ Edge operator database. The ‘operator  database’ is quite different than our current mailing list, which you may already belong to. The information captured in the operator database will help us to determine the depth of the tourism industry across the region in order to better position our strategies and operations. The business profiles captured in the Explorers’ Edge database will help shape future marketing and promotional initiatives.

An extra benefit from registering is ensuring that you’ll receive and/or continue to receive important information about Explorers’ Edge programs, consumer packages and workshops that are developed strategically to help you grow your business. It doesn’t end there; you’ll be invited to take part in incentive packages, marketing campaigns and workshops such as Fuel & Fun, Winter Turns Up the Fun! and the recent presentations by the Canadian Tourism Commission and Google Canada. Plus, you will receive important and timely consumer and industry research that we hope will assist you in your business strategies.

Simply visit www.rto12.ca/business to register your business with Explorers’ Edge. When you have registered, your name will also be entered to win $500 in Google AdWords credits.

If you have any questions about Explorers’ Edge, please contact me directly at 1-800-835-7303 or by email at [email protected].

Thank you in advance for your participation in this important regional database project.
