Partner Spotlight – Explore Huntsville – Forest of Light

With support from the Explorers’ Edge Partnership Fund, Explore Huntsville is bringing the enchanting Forest of Light to Sandhill Nursery this winter, running from December through March. Building on the success of the Fall Festival, this immersive evening experience invites visitors to wander illuminated pathways featuring artistic light installations that blend nature with storytelling, creating a contemplative, Instagram-worthy journey.

The campaign aims to drive ticket sales, increase overnight stays in Huntsville during the traditionally slow winter months, and position the town as a premier winter destination for unique cultural experiences. In addition, signage throughout the nursery and surrounding areas will guide visitors and enhance the overall experience, ensuring accessibility and engagement.

Target audiences include young families seeking memorable, culturally enriching experiences, couples and empty nesters looking for romantic winter getaways, and regional visitors from communities such as Toronto, the GTA, London, Kitchener-Waterloo, and North Bay. Through creative programming, targeted marketing, and strategic signage, the Forest of Light aims to establish itself as an annual winter tradition, generate social media buzz, and support off-season tourism infrastructure in Huntsville.
