A Muskoka Maple Adventure at Windermere House” Now Live with Canadian Booking Partner ZAUI

Muskoka, Ontario – February 12, 2026 – Explorers’ Edge has taken the next major step in launching Ontario’s first Regenerative Travel Agency with the release of its inaugural overnight experience, A Muskoka Maple Adventure at Windermere House, taking place March 20, 2026.

Rooted in seasonality and place, the two-day experience invites guests to immerse themselves in the cultural, culinary, and agritourism traditions that define maple season in Muskoka. Set against the backdrop of the iconic Windermere House, the experience weaves together Indigenous knowledge, local foodways, farm-based storytelling, and the deep cultural history of Windermere and Port Carling.

The package reflects a regenerative approach to tourism – one that goes beyond visitation to prioritize community collaboration, cultural respect, and long-term local benefit. Participants will connect with land-based traditions at Brooklands Farm, explore maple’s significance through both Indigenous and settler histories, and engage with heritage storytelling supported by Muskoka Chautauqua. Rather than presenting maple season as a simple attraction, the experience positions it as a living narrative, shaped by land, people, and generations of stewardship.

“This is more than a travel package, it represents how tourism can evolve,” said James Murphy, CEO of Explorers’ Edge. “We are building experiences that celebrate culture, respect Indigenous perspectives, support our farmers and culinary leaders, and ensure economic benefit remains in the region. This launch marks the beginning of a new chapter for rural tourism in Ontario.”

Katya Riley, Owner of Brooklands Farm, sees the partnership as an opportunity to share maple season authentically. “For us, maple is about family, land, and the rhythm of the seasons. Welcoming visitors in a thoughtful way allows us to share that story, not as a performance, but as a lived experience connected to our farm and our community.”

Gary Froude, CEO, Muskoka Chautauqua, “We are excited to be gathering under the Maple Sugar Moon with Watha Mohawk elders Lucia and Terry Sahanatien guiding us with stories, patience, and a way of seeing the land that nourishes us all. Leah Leslie will be sharing music over dinner, offering a special way of weaving our voices and our history into the season’s rhythm. And finally, on Sunday morning, Pamela Hubbard will guide us in reflecting on our time together experiencing the Spring Equinox in Muskoka, sweet, complex, and carrying the promise of renewal and gratitude.”

A key milestone within the launch is the integration of a new booking platform powered by ZAUI Software Ltd., a Canadian reservation and travel technology company headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia. The partnership enables real-time inventory management, dynamic packaging, and scalable growth as additional overnight and day-trip experiences are introduced throughout 2026 and 2027.

“Selecting a Canadian technology partner was intentional,” Murphy added. “As we build Ontario’s first Regenerative Travel Agency, we are committed to ensuring that innovation, investment, and opportunity remain anchored in Canada, just like the communities we serve.”

The Muskoka Maple Adventure represents the Foundation & Validation phase of Explorers’ Edge’s three-year strategy to redefine rural tourism through regenerative principles. With limited capacity to ensure an intimate and high-quality experience, the package is now live and available for booking at www.thegreatcanadianwilderness.com.
