Women in Tourism – April 23, 2026
On the evening of April 23, 2026, sixty tourism and hospitality professionals from across the Explorers’ Edge region gathered at the Canadian Raceboat Hall of Fame in Bracebridge for the Women in Tourism event, Know Your Woth. Tell Your Story.
We toured an extraordinary venue. We laughed. We were asked great questions. We met new people. We recognised the place we work, play, and call home — and the people who make it what it is. We connected with peers from across Algonquin Park, Almaguin Highlands, Loring-Restoule, Muskoka, Parry Sound, and South Algonquin. And we left with a clearer sense of who we are professionally and personally.
None of it would have happened without the people who showed up to make it so.

Thank You to Everyone Who Made This Evening Possible.
To Dawn Tabobondung of Wasauksing First Nation, thank you for welcoming us with gratitude and grounding us in this place. We are grateful for your presence and for the gift of your blessing.
To Autumn Smith for carrying the room with warmth, honesty from start to finish. You set the tone and held the space for everything that followed.
To Jen Richardson for making the hardest part feel like the best part of the evening. You gave everyone in that room permission to take up space and you made us laugh while doing it.
To Ann Curley and the team at the Canadian Raceboat Hall of Fame for welcoming us into a space that is nothing short of extraordinary. The boats, the stories, the history, it was the perfect backdrop for an evening about bold women doing bold things.
To the Hospitality students at Bracebridge and Muskoka Lakes Secondary School for bringing your talent and care to our event. We are so grateful for your contribution to the evening.
To everyone who showed up, thank you for being part of this great event and community.
